Australian Commercial Disputes Centre

Welcome

The Australian Commercial Disputes Centre Limited (ACDC) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established in 1986, to advance in Australia the practice and quality of alternative dispute resolution services, such as mediation, conciliation and arbitration.

Today, ACDC stands at the forefront of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Australia, promoting and advancing excellence in ADR practice, innovation and education to businesses, government and community organisations across the country.

Being among the first ADR providers in Australia, ACDC set the standard for accrediting mediators. This accreditation has since gained wide recognition in the business, government and legal communities.

Since its formation ACDC has also assisted in the resolution of thousands of disputes and is nominated to facilitate dispute resolution in over 10,000 business and government contracts.

ACDC offers a range of integrated ADR services including ADR Case Management; ADR Consultancy Services; ADR Dispute Management Scheme; and ADR Training Services.

Who recognises ACDC Accreditation?

Australian
National Mediator Standards

The new voluntary Australian National Mediator Standards have been announced, with both the Approval and Practice Standards released and to be effective as of 1 January 2008.

ACDC's current Mediation Training is already very closely aligned with the new Standards and we are reviewing them to ensure that we continue to deliver our high standards in all our training courses.

ACDC will keep on top of this major change to mediation in Australia and provide further updates on this website.
